Jim Norton, CPA

Jim Norton is a founding principal of JJJ Local Investors, LLC and one of three members of the investment committee. Jim leads turnaround execution and conducts ongoing property management. Jim works directly with onsite managers to execute value-add projects and ensure growth targets are met. A CPA by trade, Jim also leads the accounting and corporate tax functions for JJJ.

Prior to co-founding JJJ Local Investors, Jim spent 3 years at Hertz Corporation in Estero, FL where he worked as Director - Global Tax Reporting. During this time, Jim spent his evenings and weekends building a multi-family residential portfolio focused on affordable housing in Southwest Florida and Louisville, KY. Jim continues to own and operate this portfolio which is now valued at ~$4.3 million across 61 residential units.

Prior to his entry into real estate, Jim worked in corporate tax reporting and compliance at Ernst & Young in Louisville, KY. Jim received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Leadership and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Dallas, and is a Certified Public Accountant. In his free time, Jim enjoys playing pick-up basketball, having a cold beer with friends, and spending time with his wife Erin and daughters, Ellie and Gemma.

Joe Haine
Principal
Business Development

Joe Haine is a founding principal of JJJ Local Investors, LLC and one of three members of the investment committee. Joe manages the deal sourcing pipeline and helps craft the strategic direction of JJJ. Joe develops relationships across the industry with owners and operators, brokers, financing partners, and other intermediaries. Among his many responsibilities, are management of the internship program and coordination of the due diligence process for contracted deals. Joe’s ongoing projects include deploying a CRM application and process and cultivating manufactured housing builder relationships for bringing new homes to properties.

Outside of JJJ, Joe works at Care Continuity, a healthcare information technology and consulting company. Joe was employee number four and played a central role in growing the company to 50+ employees serving a variety of healthcare clients, including acute care hospitals, ACOs, payers, and physician groups across the country.

Prior to joining Care Continuity in 2015, Joe spent five years at Accenture working in the management consulting division on large scale technology implementations for a variety of public and private clients. During this time at Accenture and Care Continuity, Joe developed a variety of skills he relies on for JJJ, including project management, client relations, business development and financial analysis.

Joe received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Leadership at the University of Dallas. Joe enjoys spending time with his many nieces and nephews, family reunions, and attending mandatory JJJ company retreats.

John Norton
Principal
Investor Relations

John Norton is a founding principal of JJJ Local Investors, LLC and one of three members of the investment committee. John manages investor relations and coordinates the deal financing efforts in a part time capacity for JJJ while working at an investment banking firm as a member of the capital advisory team – advising large institutional investors globally in the private equity secondary markets.

Prior to co-founding JJJ Local Investors and his investment banking role, John worked in credit underwriting for a middle market corporate & investment banking firm where he underwrote leveraged loans to private equity buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, and other capital markets activity. John’s experience underwriting leveraged loans and advising limited partners and general partners in the private equity secondary markets afford him valuable insight into financing deals for JJJ and managing ongoing investor relationships.

John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Finance at the University of Dallas and a Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Business Economics from Georgia State University. John enjoys watching Kentucky basketball, drinking fine bourbon, and spending time with family and friends.
